I agree that would be a very good contribution.
I would like to see a hardened version of nethserver with high security in mind. HDD encryption, cloud storage access to known vendors with content encryption before written to cloud storage. PKI server etc.
Disk encryption is a standard feature since first release:
http://docs.nethserver.org/en/latest/installation.html#encrypted-file-system
This is a good start. Would be nice to know what encryption is used like 256 AES? Other options would be nice too.
It could be awsome to be able to backup overs ssh
backuppc?
I do that.
I have hacked the backup-data script to use duplicity support for ssh/sftp.
The question is: where did I put my notes?
Have to connect to the server and have a look. Stay tuned.
so in that case may I suggess another awesome module/feature might help you too
Laverna : https://laverna.cc/
I like laverna.
I found my notes but have to get the script.
duplicity collection-status --archive-dir /var/lib/nethserver/backup/duplicity sftp://root@SERVER:PORT//REMOTE_PATH

Hi, it would be interesting to implement a video conferencing module.
For work, I installed openmeeting. It works very well and all the necessary features are present.
It allows you to manage users with different security levels, multiple rooms (webcam, audio, whiteboard, desktop and documents sharing, chat), calendar of events and invitations via email
A didactic purpose I tried to install it in Nethserver successfully. Unfortunately, no packages are dedicated and installation requires several steps.
Still it works perfectly
Did you eard about OSSIM ?
https://www.alienvault.com/products/ossim
It base on Debian having a ntop, openvas, nagios, inventory (i think it’s GLPI) and ticket system all interacting together.
They have a community and professionnal version.
It is possible to do something similar with NethServer ?
For what I see now, it just missing the OpenVas, GLPI, the ticket system and the integration
But for IT in small/medium compagnies what crucial after email, I think it’s having inventory and a ticket system to have a big picture of what’s going on, and a must to have an openVas scanning to prevent threat.
I would like a Command Shell Module to execute shell commands and view their output.
