translations

(Jose G Jimenez S ) #1

Right now Linux users can edit the file with gedit .rst, Retext, geany …

But we must follow some parameters because if we do not index structure would be wrong.

In the title translated “Backup (Configuration)” below you can see that symbols equal “=” not complete the translation and generate an error in the document

Here you can see and preview the title is in bold.

In the editor geany you can see index file damaged by not following the above parameters

By keeping the parameters index of the help file is not corrupted

At the end of .rst file is not translated.

These are steps when performed locally. Or they can be edited directly from GitHub.

I agree, some guidelines are needed. I recall the manual has some of them already: https://github.com/nethesis/nethserver-docs/blob/master/README.rst#editing-guidelines

About the editor: the GitHub one is online and immediately available. No docutils/git installation needed. Thus I liked it and pointed as the general tool to document the RST translation workflow.

Do you think it is a good tool for basing an howto on it?
