Webconsole for NS8 app containers

Hi,

I’ve mentioned before an idea about Webconsole for NS8, just we have for NS7, but for individual containers.

"Well, if there was a module that provides access to individual containers:

Select which continer from dropdown of all containers
Drop in the container with a webconsole alike
Do what you need to do
So e.g. an example to replace a manual command like:

podman exec -ti

or

runagent -m

But more convenient for the admin/user to access containers

HTH"

I am not familiar with acessing container from the command line and I see many advises to access containers to trouble shoot or adjust things. A Webconsole app would be very useful and with every bit of code, app, module, use at your own risk.

Any takers to create such an app for NS8?

i have been one of the loudest voices in this regard, and i have been told apparently its not required, and does not make sense to have one.

so i doubt if its coming anytime soon

Says who? I didn’t know there was a “balloting committee” what will/can be done by community members or others. We are just a bunch of people, nothing more, nothing less, one can create whatever one wants. I am asking for I do not have the capabilities myself.

No need, as you said, there’s no boss!
I find your Webconsole App request useless and a waste of time = noise…

This is a comunity and open source. If using SSH is beyond you, and you feel the need for a Webconsole, fine.

If no one wants to make one for you, it’s tough.

You could provide a bounty - but that means paying money for work done, this could violate your own open source feeling of community…

Or you could make more noise…

Again I find a topic hijacked by ego behaviour. It seems to be common practise by some to do this.

What are you talking about? I just merely posted my question to the forum. Not for you to hijack.
@Andy_Wismer YOU DO NOT REPRESENT THE COMMUNITY, you are just somebody using these forums. If your holiday is over and you have nothing else to do, I suggest you go do something useful, other than posting useless comments.

@alefattorini , I want to block this user, but apparently he has a “status” that I do not care about, that prevents me from blocking this user. That does not sound like democracy at all where I am forced to “listen” and being harassed by this user. I need to be able to block him, or I am gone.

Again, why the ego? I said I do not have code capabilities. Is it a requirements to be able to code to be here? By what standards? Why would you consider me lazy if I can not code?

I can put my opinion here, even if you do not like it.

You just want other people to do your work for free, it seems to me.
But that’s only an opinion.

And I do think noise is wasting resources.
NethServer is still largely not usable as a file server.

And this is not your first attempt at pushing for this topic…
And feedback for your suggestions are at a very low level.
Here only one taker…

Yep, you can HIJACK all you want just like you do and not taking notice of any courtesy or netiquette. That decision lies solely with you. As of now I refer to you as HIJACKER.

I do NOT have a problem with any APP.

I do have problems with idiots with statements like “I never use Samba and never will”…

But want everthing else for free, work done by others…
