Welcome nethbot!

nethbot

(Davide Principi) #1

After hard training our nethbot started to build and upload RPMs for us:

https://travis-ci.org/NethServer

We’re teaching nethbot to comment issues and pull requests on GitHub too:

https://github.com/NethServer/dev/issues/5393#issuecomment-347931262

…but he must improve

Once he’s ready, all nethserver repositories will support automatic builds of pull requests and pushes to master.

We updated the developer manual with the basic steps to include a .travis.yml file inside github repository:

Developer Manual

All available nethserver projects that currently support autobuild from travis-ci.org are in the link below:

NethServer Travis-CI

Our nethbot now add labels to the relative issues:

  • if the builded RPMs are in the testing repository, the bot add the testing label
  • if the builded RPMs are released in the updates repository, the bot add the verified label

PS. Maybe the nethbot wants a better profile image, is there anyone that can help him?
Currently is created by https://robohash.org/nethbot, but can we make something more cool

We’re enabling Travis-CI RPM builds on all NethServer repositories. We’re also evaluating Travis to implement automated tests in the next weeks.

It is a first delivery from which other better ideas can be born

We could call it: Logobot

I will continue looking for visual alternatives for this CREATURE

I will do a ONG to defend oppresed BOT.

I love @discobot, it’s very limited…Yes, but it’s not guilty!
