Question to Nethserver 8 - webtop & Co

Hello guys,

myself test Nethserver 8 as Groupware solution at the moment. There some questions are already coming up:

1. The first problem occur with the german webtop translation. There are lots of buttons & Co missing. So this product is not maintained by nethesis so myself think its best to ask there how can myself help with the translation. So myself test forward with english.
2. Webtops doku speak about the Nethvoice integration, but when one install Nethvoice there are no integration configured. There is texted about 2 parameter for the integration to be set. One of them is according the Hyperlink to the Nethvoice API. So the question is: which shall it be? The CTI-FQDN?
3. Sometimes its not production ready to install the VOIP-Software to the same Server like the Mail/Communication-Server. So its possible to install the Nethvoice-APP on an other Nethserver which is not in the same Cluster but can still integrate within webtop? Of course a new license is necessary.
4. Maybe also a question for the webtop forum: When myself create a new contact and add a fax number. Then no one can see the fax number in the preview at the right screen when open the contact.

Maybe someone can give some answers.

To enable the integrations, you need to select the nethvoice instance in the webtop app settings:

Sometimes its not production ready to install the VOIP-Software to the same Server like the Mail/Communication-Server. So its possible to install the Nethvoice-APP on an other Nethserver which is not in the same Cluster but can still integrate within webtop? Of course a new license is necessary.

I didn’t test but you’ll need to configure it manually. One advantage of NethServer is that the apps are preconfigured to work together so I think it makes sense to have nethvoice and webtop in the same cluster, they could be installed on different nodes.

Maybe also a question for the webtop forum: When myself create a new contact and add a fax number. Then no one can see the fax number in the preview at the right screen when open the contact.

I can confirm that the fax number isn’t visible, even when editing the contact.

One needs to manually add the fax number to be able to edit, even if a number was entered before.

No, what myself mean is the calling integration to Nethvoice. When one right click on a contact one can choose to call the contact. The webtop docu offers 2 parameters:

I guess we need to wait for the next release.

I think it’s the CTI FQDN.
