I’m excited to share an update on my current and future development plans for the NethServer ecosystem!
I will soon be focusing on finalizing the NethBridge unofficial client for NethServer 8. This has been a passion project, and I’m dedicated to getting it finished and ready for use.
Immediately following the completion of NethBridge, I plan to begin development on a new application for NethSecurity. I believe a dedicated app will significantly enhance its usability and management.
These developments are a matter of time and commitment, and I’ll be starting on them soon.

I already have a Mac mini m4, they gave it to me to pay in installments, soon I will start the projects also for iOS, of course I never had one so I am adapting, I have already passed my projects but I have almost run out of space, God through being able to acquire a 1tb ssd and a docking that I saw on Amazon, I must pay the membership for developers to be able to sign the packages and be able to do tests, I still do not have an iPhone for testing on a physical device only from Xcode.

Well, i have a windows with 24 Gigs of Ram, 4Gb graphics, and good enough nvme ssd storage, but mahn have i been struggling lately to get any work Done.
I need to get a Framework Laptop, beefier than this, then install Linux on this, maybe it will have some reprieve.
I have always used Linux since I was 10 years old and since Linux was in the Doctor PC magazines, I started with Mandriva, went through Debian and Ubuntu, I used Windows because here they only use Windows and now everyone asks for iOS applications, I have never had an iPhone, always from the Alcatel, to the Nokia 6120i to the Androids. Here in Venezuela everything is expensive but now that I have it I will put more effort into it even if I work everything bent over on the nightstand. When this inflammation passes I will get organized and save up to put more disk space in the Mac and buy a table for the PC and if the Macs come to an end but they are much faster, and I must use them to develop in iOS

I “co-developed” Windows NT 3.0(!) in the 90s and received a watch from Steve Balmer as a gift.
That was my best experience with MS or Windows.
Windows has always annoyed me, whether it’s its nonsensical architecture (just think of that crazy registry), its intransparent system behavior, its lousy security architecture, not to mention the driver misery. Its usability has also gotten worse and worse. You just get used to it over time and don’t notice how creepy it is anymore.
After a system failure, I had one. Complete loss of my data, irretrievable. I had just temporarily put the backup disk into production because I ran out of space.
That was a lesson for me. Actually, that’s why TimeMachine was the main argument for switching in the beginning.
And macOS runs and runs and runs. Even after 6 years of upgrades.
My father had a 386 2mb of ram and he installed win 3.1 with 90 diskette it was crazy those years, and if I liked the idea of Linux from those years. I use windows because I had many clients with windows and I needed it but I always used Linux, I tried to get them to migrate to a Linux system but in Venezuela decree 3390 was never complied with, a decree that forced public entities to use it and PDVSA too, but I didn’t go beyond that.
I find it difficult to use Mac because I never use it and as far as I can see it has worked out wonderfully but I will depend on Windows for my applications in that environment.
And I plan to make applications for Mac that we can use here in Venezuela, that’s why I started the collection in gofundme to start my business and have the work tools, @Andy_Wismer and I were talking about the situation here in Venezuela and I was looking for a way to send me his irons as he told me about switch, routers, mikrotik to set up a laboratory, since he changed them from time to time but for us Venezuelans it was still technology that we didn’t have.
In my time as head of systems at Lidotel, our switches and IP telephone exchanges were hacked and I noticed in an executive guard anomalies in the server and services, they had a fortigate without licenses and it was as if we had nothing until I set up nethserver as a firewall and detected the attacks and I was able to warn the other hotels that they were having the same symptoms and the thanks of my corporate boss was a slap on the back.

Today I’ll be looking for local stores to buy a USB Ethernet adapter to install NethSecurity directly on an old PC with 4GB of RAM and a 500GB hard drive. This will allow me to set up my mini-lab and begin developing the client app.
I’ve had a chaotic and exhausting week with so many things going on.
I’m pleased to announce that I’ve installed NethSecurity on an older PC today. I’ve added two 10/100 USB Ethernet adapters and installed it on a 64GB flash drive, as the hard drives aren’t working perfectly and caused numerous errors during the installation process. I’ll soon begin developing the client app for NethSecurity and will also be able to assist with support and simulate errors to identify and resolve them.
My eyes are very tired using my blurry monitor, so I’ll be a bit slow at first, but I’ll start development soon.

Good morning, what do you think? Right now I’m waiting to see how my mom’s eye surgery goes to restore her sight. Yesterday she had to travel to Coro, about 45 minutes from where we live, for the surgery. I’m incredibly anxious. I’m currently working on the first phase of the app to manage nethsecurity.
I’m going to vectorize it, customize it, and find a more eye-catching font.
