Will NS8 work as a VM in Proxmox 9, the latter installed on a Debian 13 box? Or am I to install it as a VM in Proxmox v8 on a Debian 12 box? I’m starting to do some homework for a new box I’m going to put together first thing in the new year.
NS 8 runs here on Proxmox 9 (updated from version 8) without any problems.

What distro do you have Proxmox v9 running on?
If you’re planning to run NS8 as a VM, the underlying OS for the hypervisor is irrelevant.

I only ask because if I shouldn’t use Proxmox v9 with NS8, then I’m wondering if Proxmox v8 works well enough with Debian 13 (Trixie, I think?)?
I use Debian 13 (Trixie).

Debian Trixie is also working in a VM under Proxmox 8 but the supported Debian version for NS8 is still 12, see System requirements — NS8 documentation
Installing NS8 on Debian 13 is explained here but still experimental.
