NethServer 7.5.1804 beta released

v7

(Giacomo Sanchietti) #1

We are proud to announce a new NethServer release.

NethServer 7.5.1804 beta is here, thanks to the amazing testing work done from our community!

What is the Beta release?

The Beta release contains almost except one of NethServer 7.5.1804 features.
We are working hard to improve the stability of the project through upstream releases and we are trying to include Lock to current release feature for the final release.

Release notes

We’re writing them down for the Final release release here. In the meanwhile check out the official changelog.

YUM repositories

NethServer 7.5.1804 YUM repositories are now live for everyone to avoid problems hit by users on new installs or after unexpected update from NethServer 7.4.1708.
Mirrors are syncing right now.

Download or upgrade

Please take some time to download and try out the Beta and make sure the things that are important to you are working. If you find a bug, please report it. Make sure also to check QA hot points list.

Upgraded yesterday. Repos seem to be missing the Virtual Machine Manager; is there any ETA for it to be added?

(Markus Neuberger) #8

I am sorry, the project is not maintained anymore so it has been removed, you may use the desktop client virt-manager instead.

Shame, virt-manager isn’t really an option as we don’t run any Linux desktops, and the macOS homebrew port is broken to say the least
