Moving to another Node

Just an idea: You could use a local storage like an USB disk but I never tested, maybe there’s a better method.

  • Setup a new local storage backup destination, you may need to configure the encryption password if you did setup one for the previous backups, see also Backup and restore — NS8 documentation
  • Initialize the disk as explained in Backup and restore — NS8 documentation
  • Connect the disk to the NAS and copy the backups to the USB disk
  • Connect the disk to NS8
  • NS8 Restore hopefully should find the backups from the local storage and you should be able to restore

Last but not least it worked.
Having the Backup on a Samba share didnt work, so I did as @mrmarkuz sugested and copied the Backup to a USB Disk and could restore Samba, the other apps I could restore from the SMB-drive.
Probaby a problem with my NAS.

What did not restore where the HTTP-Routes and the Certificates.
How can I ceck perl cli what routes and certificates are configured?
I would like to look at the old node, wich has no networkcard for secure resons
