Message I don't understand (ERROR: cdiff_apply: lseek(desc, -350, SEEK_END) failed)

This morning, or more precisely last night, my nethserver

System version NethServer release 7.9.2009 (final)
Kernel release 3.10.0-1160.31.1.el7.x86_64
running on a Dell T3500 with 16G memory

has started telling me:

/usr/share/clamav/freshclam-sleep > /dev/null
ERROR: cdiff_apply: lseek(desc, -350, SEEK_END) failed
ERROR: downloadPatch: Can’t apply patch
ERROR: cdiff_apply: lseek(desc, -350, SEEK_END) failed
ERROR: downloadPatch: Can’t apply patch
ERROR: cdiff_apply: lseek(desc, -350, SEEK_END) failed
ERROR: downloadPatch: Can’t apply patch

It does that every 3 hours or so. I restarted it, and ran the command manually, but that changed nothing.

I’ve looked in the logs, but can’t see anything apparently connected or causitive. I’ve googled, but got nothing of interest…can anyone suggest what is happening and what I need to do to bring things back to normal?

Thanks
Jim

I think we need to wait.

Just me being thick…do you mean that this will “just go away” if I wait long enough?

Thanks

Jim

I was just going to post this here!

The clamav team is aware of the problem and is working on a fix.
We need to wait for them to act.
More details can be found on their mailing list.
