Impossible to send mails via SOGo

,

Hi@all and many thanks for the very good support.

Nextcloud is work now without problems. But it is further impossible to send mails via SOGo.

I can push the yellow marked button Send, but nothing will go on. In my case the Send button is not white colored as usual. He has an darkgreen color and pushing on this gives no reaction.
For a better understanding, i have a picture attached.

Regards

Uwe

Hi

@transocean

Oups ! Same bug in SOGo ! I hadn’t seen it, sorry.

RoundCube (receiving and sending mails) and Nextcloud work fine (log in,
sharing ans syncronization of files).

Regards,

Stef

I need to know if you installed SOGo from nethforge or nethforge testing.
@stef @transocean can you provide the output of this commands?

rpm -qi nethserver-sogo
rpm -qi sogo

Hi there,

In my experience this is behavior can be related to the browser-cache, especially firefox and chrome are effected.
Could to empty the browsers cache?

Hi@mark_nl and thanks for the reply,

after cleaning of browser cache the problem is the same as before.
I can push the send button in SOGo as often as i want. No one mail will go outside.

Uwe

that is a pitty, i had this problem a time ago with alpha 1 and I don’t recal how i solved it…

In my case it was related to DNS, outbound domain coluld not be resolved. It was due to my test setup, and there for a invalid bug report.

IIRC, creating a sever alias solved my issue.

Hi Uwe,

Did you solve your issue? If so how?

I am collecting all SOGo related stuff, so very interested in your findings. :relaxed:

Hi Mark,

the problem is not solved. With NS7 RC2 i can send mails only with roundcube or with webtop combined with LDAP. With NS 6.8 and the old SOGo version i have no problems to send mails.

Regards and a nice weekend

Uwe

thx, cc @stef

Did not succeed trying to reproduce this

Some questions to narrow it:
Which browser are you using?
Can you try an other browser, like MS edge?
Do you use Ghostetry?
Did you see od things in the sogo and mail log? (if you still have SOGo installed it would be a huge help if you can try to send a message once more and have a look in / post this logs)
Are you a bit familiar with the Linux command prompt?

thnx

@transocean

Hi, did you try to uninstall and re-install SOGo with NS7 RC2 ? I didn’t
read the logs so far, but it solved the problem in SOGo which you
pointed out that it was impossible to send a mail.

Regards

Hi stephane,

in this moment i am finished with my installation no.12 of NS7 RC2 as VM on MS Hyper-V 2008 R2.
I can install, remove and reinstall SOGo often as i want. The Problem is allways the same. No mail wil leave
my network. I can push the send button 100 times per minute. It gives no reaction.

Regards

Uwe

well… till now, you gave us no valid debug elements (logs etc), so how can we help you?

Hi Uwe,

In order to update my system, i have a cron job working daily on my NS7
RC2.
I don’t know if this could help but at least it won’t break your VM :

yum clean all ; yum update -y ; yum update --skip-broken -y

Sooner ou later (probably afet the final release), i’ll add
–exclude=slapd

Regards,

Stef

I experience the same bug.
When googling for it, I found

https://lists.inverse.ca/sogo/arc/users/2016-06/msg00117.html .

I should be solved in Sogo 3.1.2 whereas sogo 3.0.2 is now installed.
Is version 3.1.2 making its way to NS7?

Current version is 3.2.4 but our packages are still on Nethforge testing

@mark_nl are they stable enough to be moved?

I Have same problem in NethServer 7RC3 with chorme,
With microsoft edge works

I’m not sure that to accept bad yum transaction (–skip-broken -y) is a good choice, before to install rpms with missed dependencies, it is better to stop the upgrade.

@stephdl

You’re right, but this helped me solve troubleshootings in the early RCs
of Nethserver.
I did not mean it’s a good practice, but maybe it could help in some
cases and in this particular one as other suggestions seems to have failed.
