Thanks for testing and adding the wiki entry!

Just as a kind reminder, the info and links in the “app info” box in software center is not yet up to date.

Which info or link needs to be updated? I can’t find it…

EDIT:

Ah, I think I found it, it’s multimedia instead of collaboration category.

Fixed.

I can confirm.

Thanks, I’m going to check the restore…

Just a thought… Did you create the app using the app generator from GeniusDynamics? I believe they recently updated/added back/restore functions. Perhaps an bug? IF you used the app generator.

Thinking out loud.

No, it’s built from template.
The issue is that immich uses a special postgres 14 and I wasn’t able to correctly restore the db yet.
So I removed the db restore to just use a volume backup/restore but it also doesn’t seem to work.
So I’m going to retry the db method…

Restore should be fixed in the new release 1.0.1.
The 1.0.0 release wasn’t updated correctly with the already implemented volume backup/restore but with the new release it should work.

Thanks, it seems to work. Restore replacing existing ok. Just the log has complaints but I can not judge on the severity of those. Please see:

Thanks for testing. I think the db volume restore causes a restart of the database but I need to check.
I’m going to retry to implement the usual way to restore the db to postgres instead restoring the volume but I’m happy it works for now.

Actually all the links are not yet correct. Next minor release

Thanks Laylow, for helping test the different NS8 Apps, and helping get them to production, for those who don’t know, testing is actually one of the hardest thing to do with NS8 modules, and takes a lot of effort, and is hectic, though its the most critical part to delivering production ready Apps.

NS8 is beautiful, if Apps are built well, testing to maintain the consistency of apps is a welcome Service.

The Immich release 1.0.2 should readd the DB backup/restore and fix the wrong text/links on the about page, thanks for your tests and feedback!

@oneitonitram you’re right, the dev needs testers to improve quality so thanks to all testers!

Thanks, can I restore a 1.0.1 backup to 1.0.2 pls?

No need, Updated the app in place.
