Exciting news! I've been selected as a Systems Analyst & IT Support Engineer 🎉

Hello community,

Today I received some wonderful news: I was selected following last week’s interview and will be joining a food distribution company as a Systems Analyst and IT Support Engineer.

I wanted to share this milestone with you all because a significant part of my technical growth has happened right here in this community. NethServer has been a cornerstone in my hands-on learning journey, and the guides, configurations, troubleshooting tips, and encouragement from so many of you played a decisive role in helping me reach this step.

Thank you sincerely to everyone who keeps this community alive through shared knowledge, patience, and open-source spirit. Moving forward, I remain committed to staying actively involved and as I gain experience in real-world environments, I’ll do my best to contribute back with solutions, lessons learned, and use cases that may help fellow members.

Warm regards,

@capote @mrmarkuz @transocean @LayLow

Thanks, brother. I’ve been through a lot and I’m still going through it, but having a stable job, or at least knowing I have a guaranteed payment for my services, is a huge relief. Working independently in my area isn’t profitable, and starting my own business requires a lot of money that I simply can’t generate. Anyway, I’m very happy and grateful for all the support you’ve given me. @mrmarkuz thanks

I’m absolutely delighted for you. I hope this marks the start of a new chapter in your life and takes some of the weight off your shoulders.

Day 1 Update: Exhausted, Thrilled, and Ready to Tame the IT Chaos! :rocket:

Hi community,

Today was an absolute marathon I visited two different sites to introduce myself and present to all the employees. I’m completely worn out… but honestly? So incredibly pumped. Walking into the space where I’ll be working felt like a real milestone, and I couldn’t be more excited to get started.

I’ll be straight with you: the current IT landscape is a wild ride. We’re talking tangled Mikrotik setups, legacy servers, GPOs with no clear strategy, a firewall running on mystery rules, and exactly zero network documentation. Pure, unfiltered chaos. :exploding_head: But you know what? I’m genuinely thrilled. This is exactly the kind of hands-on, real-world challenge I’ve been preparing for, and I can’t wait to roll up my sleeves, map everything out, and start normalizing the infrastructure step by step.

I’ll keep sharing the journey right here the wins, the hurdles, and the lessons learned along the way. Thanks for being such an awesome community to grow with, feel free to visit my GitHub page: https://jgjimenez.github.io/ :hammer_and_wrench::sparkles:

Let’s build something solid together! :flexed_biceps::wrench:

Best regards,

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to drop a quick note to let you know I’ve been lent a phone to stay in touch. I sold my personal phone to pay off some debts, but with faith and hard work, I’m moving forward. :flexed_biceps:

See you soon, brothers. I’m getting ready to start this new chapter with full energy. By the way, the job is close to my mom’s house, which brings me a lot of peace and lets me be more present with family.

I also want to share, with full honesty, that my salary will be $150 USD per month, paid in local currency with no government deductions, in biweekly installments. In practice, that comes out to roughly $120/month ($60 per pay period). It’s not much, I know—but for these 3 months of probation, it’s my foundation to prove what I can bring to the table. Every dollar counts, especially when you’re building stability step by step.

Thank you all for walking this path with me.

Big hug,

Brothers and sisters, on my birthday, I would like to ask for your prayers for my parents, who are getting worse and I just started working. Your prayers help me. God bless you.

Greetings everyone, a few days ago a gentleman contacted me to have his laptop repaired after he spilled coffee on it and was desperate. He was recommended my services because I have the unique policy that even if I’m in need, if someone can’t pay me immediately (not a company, but an individual or household), I trust them to pay me when they tell me to. Well, this gentleman has given me a used monitor in very good condition as payment, which I’ll use to continue my development work. Now all I need is a proper desk, as I’m still using my nightstand and a child’s chair

I just need to have a desk and a suitable chair and to program it properly.
