Download openvpn RoadWarrior config not possible in Cockpit with Firefox

Hi friends,
I tried to download a vpn-road-warrior config with firefox like I’d used to do in Neth-GUI, but that doesn’t work.
With Opera and Chrome it works.

Seems that Firefox gets more and more incompatible with cockpit.
Can anybody tell me why this happens?
Cockpit upstream desgn?

Cheers
Ralf

Firefox uses Gecko, Opera and Chrome currently are using Blink.

Hi, Ralf. Can you give more details (OS, Firefox version, any error message, screenshot…)?

Sorry for late response.
OS ist Win 10 1909
FF is Ver 71.0 / 64 bit
Opera is Ver 65.0.3467.62
Chrome is Ver 79.0.3945.79 / 64 bit

It’s not the expected .ovpn file as here:

PS: Sorry for german browser.

Confirmed. On Chrome the file has an extension and it is named after the user. On Firefox the downloaded file name seems random and without file extension.

I think it’s only a filename problem. I open on GitHub an improvement. I’m going to try to fix this.

This is just cosmetic and due to a bad implementation on FF: https://github.com/NethServer/dev/issues/5855

Thank you for the patch @federico.ballarini, we will review it.

We cannot fix download file on backup configuration, but I fixed vpn config download (more used than backup config download ).
@giacomo and @davidep will put the fix to testing on Monday.
Please @flatspin and @dnutan feel free to test it and report here if it works.

Thanks @federico.ballarini . Will test it when back in office.

Tested and confirm that fix works. Vpn-config-file is corrctly named and downloaded.

Thanks again Federico! :+1:
