@alefattorini , as per title, can the wiki link be put back as directly visible/accessible link to the left in Discourse menu please? I think a wiki link is more important than a ‘Leaderboard’ link, so a direct 1 click wiki link, not under ‘more’.
Next to this request, I find it odd that all the hard work done by the community on the wiki has been degraded to not being visible at all anymore. I feel the community/writers deserve respect for their hard work and the community deserves a direct link to TONS of valuable information.
Why the link was removed in the first place during a new theme intro for discourse and in all silence is unknown.
None taken at all, but as you say, every developer starts creating their own docs. Maybe specifically due to the lack of a well organzed central wiki.
Anyway, in my view the wiki should be a clear and simple catch all repository of docs that help users of Nethserver and the app/modules with more in depth hint tips, experience and sharing knowledge.
Devs can still use whatever they want, but clearly 2 different audiences…

I don’t understand why there is no community representative commitee or small team to deal with community matters. I asked before why @alefattorini seems to hold a veto and is the single entity over communty matters, wishes and data. Never got a reply, I wonder why?

Everyone can modify the wiki it could be an interesting homework for you. You don’t need dev skills

I think you are missing the point. It should be obvious that a community wiki should ‘belong’ to the community without any maybe or conditions from 1 person. Putting back the wiki link is the least amount of respect one can show to the community, how and whomever will re-shape of re-start a wiki. The community was never asked f the wiki link should be removed.
I’m sorry, you still miss the point. I respect the community not showing an old documentation that can confuse people. We need to move people to 8 and write stuff about 8.
If the wiki belongs to the community I’m confident that many people will re-structure it so I can link it again.
This makes no sense at all. Nobody is confused, a silly marketing strategy to push people to NS8 that has nothing to do with community work, or communty wishes.
The unreliability and disrespect for hard work done by the community makes me not volunteer. Please revoke my wiki admin rights asap.
No marketing strategy my friend, NS7 is already in EOL. Do you remember?
No new features and no fix from upstream. We can’t leave people behind, we can still support NS7 but need to help people switch to the new platform.

The new Nethserver site is going to be all on version 8 (it’s coming in the next weeks) new subscription plans are only for NethServer 8, I hope you noticed it.
Is NethServer 8 nothing to do with community work and community wishes? I think you have missed some pieces of the puzzle.
I am just asking, please rewrite the wiki home with NethServer 8 info and split docs so people are aware of ns8 stuff vs ns7 stuff . If you’re one of the admin you can do that right? Then I can re-link the wiki here. thanks @dnutan
