What is the correct way to create a samba DC in NS8?

Module: Domain and Users

I’ve created the Samba domain in NS8, but i can’t add a windows client to the domain, in NS7 was very easy to do it, but in NS8 is confuse for me.

Somebody have configured a samba dc in NS8 for windows client?

Did you select a the physical LAN interface as IP address during install?

It seems that the firewall part is not still configured in the module, so you won’t be able to connect to the DC.

For now, the module can be used only as internal LDAP server.

In the next months we are going to improve the module to fill the gap :wink:

But ok, How much “lifetime” does NS7 have left?

Cause i don’t know if i must wait for NS8 or use NS7 for while.

It was said somewhere in the forums but it should last at least the same as CentOS7

CentOS 7 will receive security updates until 2024-06-30
