What is the best way for Server- and Domain Name

Hi Friends,

what is the best way to give the Server the right Domainname. I will use Nethserver with SOGo and owncloud and Access from the Internet. Is it better to name the Server for example machine.german.lan or is it better to name the the Server machine.german.de?

Hi @transocean I usually prefer the second one: machine.german.de in your case.

i use *.lan for all the machine that have a private ip *.it for the ones with a public ip
