Are you sure to have set /remote.php/webdave insidethe Path option in WebTop? Please note there is no /nextcloud prefix in it.

The server alias is good.

But you can’t grep the webtop log: it’s a java application which dump the stack trace.
We need the stack trace generated when accessing the nextcloud webdav share.

Keep /var/log/webtop/webtop.log open if tail -f /var/log/webtop/webtop.log, go to webtop, add the nextcloud resource and when the “Error” dialog appears, see what pops out inside the log.

after several tests I was able to replicate your problem and probably understand what you are missing…

Check that you have also added the virtual host configured for your nextcloud among the server aliases:

Once this is done, try to recreate the link on the webtop to the nextcloud resource using these settings necessarily:

Let me know how it goes.

Software Center Package Removal Behaviour

I’ve just encountered this behavior with WebTop, and IMO, it’s very badly broken. If the software center is going to allow us to install software in a point-and-click manner, it likewise needs to allow us to remove it, safely and completely, in a point-and-click manner. But as noted up-thread, that’s not at all what it does. When I try to remove WebTop, for example, it doesn’t (say it’s going to) remove any of the binaries, or Java, or anything like that, but it does try to remove the mail se…

Within the NextCloud documentation, there is a wonderful description of how to manually carry out a residue-free uninstallation. Unfortunately, this is missing at webtop…as with most others.

And by the way, I would appreciate it if all documentation contained a description of the complete manual uninstallation if already an automatic uninstallation should not be possible.

We inspected all the possible path and the doc has been updated for this usage scenario (thanks to @lucag). If your installation doesn’t still work, I think it something related to your configuration.
Since we can’t reproduce in any other why, I guess the only solution is to troubleshoot your machine with direct access.

I still hope @webtop_team has some other ideas on how to solve this.

It is quite hard to realize because it depends on which modules have been installed: many times a software changes the config of other part of the system.
Still, feel free to open a PR to the doc for those software you’ve experience about removal.

I’m wondering what part of the event fixed the problem, maybe this code but it should have been already executed during the install.

Possibly I was happy too early.
I can access the directory and file structure (e.g. renaming nectcloud files within Webtop works fine. This means for me that the permissions are passed on correctly) but generated links lead to an error when called.

if your configuration is still this:

the problem you report may be due to the incorrect Public URL.
Try to delete it by deleting what you entered in this field and click on Save.
