Wallos give me a "Bad Gateway"

NethServer Version: 8
Module: Wallos

Hello @Team Genius

thought I would mothball my Wallos version running separately on a Debian 12 VM and test yours on my NS 8. No sooner said than done. The installation went smoothly. But when I call up the page, I get a Bad Gateway error. Any useful tips on how to get Wallos up and running?

Thanks in advance…

This is something we are still investigating together with @mrmarkuz there seems to be an issue where some apps, work well on some servrs, while failing and showing bad gateway on some servers.
So far, we have not definitively identified the issue, but we are narrowing it done at the moment to podman versions. We noted podman version discrepancies on those servers, so might be related or not.

IS your NS instance you have installed wallos on a debian server we also try testing on our end?

No, my NS8 works on the latest Rocky version

I tested it and could reproduce the issue. In this case the port is wrong, I opened a PR.

Now it looks fine.

I exported the subscription data from my old Wallos instance as csv and json files. Is there a way to import this data into the new Wallos instance on my NS8, or do I have to recreate each subscription individually?

When you start a new instance, on the bottom of the first registration screen, there’s “Restore database” button, maybe you can import the data that way?

If you already configured Wallos you can revert to a fresh one by removing the volumes… (deletes all Wallos data)

runagent -m wallos1
systemctl --user stop wallos
podman volume rm -a
exit

…and reconfigure Wallos in the NS8 settings by clicking “Save”.

Servus @mrmarkuz

I saw that. But it doesn’t work with .csv or .json files.

I would like to show my appreciation and make a donation. However, I am reluctant to enter my credit card details online. Do you also accept payments via PayPal?

would you be ok with Skrill? Paypal has given us some challenges recently…

I’ll take care of it later. My bank is currently updating its banking app, which should be done by tomorrow. We’ll find a way.
