User (non admin) trying to go into Cockpit, timeout

I wonder if the system should just pop-up that the user doesn’t have access to server configuration.
A timeout is not the proper feedback.

The old GUI, says “invalid credentials”, which is (marginally) better feedback.

Hi @NLS,

the upstream cockpit project has recently changed the way the PAM session is set up. In 7.7 the user must have a shell to log in with the Cockpit interface.

Besides root, all users with the Shell option enabled can access the Server Manager.
