Urbackup Server broken?

NethServer Version: 7.4 latest

I think my urbackup-server is broken, how can I fix this:

Package nethserver-urbackup-0.1.2-1.ns7.sdl.noarch already installed and latest version
Nothing to do

Is the service running?

systemctl status urbackup-server

If not, start it with systemctl start urbackup-server

Are there error entries in /var/log/messages or /var/log/urbackup.log?

Thank you Markus. Hopefully it works stable now…

You’re welcome. You may check if it starts after a reboot…

Yes, I just like to backup the client ap002 first… :grinning:

Same problem after reboot, service is not running. By the way, I use an Ibay for Urbackup. Any Ideas ?

I can’t reproduce it.
As a workaround you may start the service via cron or /etc/rc.local until the problem is solved.
Which modules do you have installed?

I reproduced your setup in a VM but urbackup still starts on boot.
Do you use some custom templates?

Just next-server option for dhcp to be able to work with the FOG Cloneserver…

The next problem:

cat /etc/e-smith/templates-custom/etc/dhcpd.conf/99fog

gives me just an empty file ???

sorry, this was a corpse in the cellar :sweat_smile:

cat /etc/e-smith/templates-custom/etc/dnsmasq.conf/99fog

# The boot filename, Server name, Server Ip Address
dhcp-boot=undionly.kpxe,,192.168.nnn.nnn

Do you see any additional error with journalctl -u urbackup-server ?

My urbackup-server config to compare:

[root@testserver ~]# config show urbackup-server
urbackup-server=service
    BroadcastDiscoveryUDPPort=35623
    FixedIP=
    InternetClientTCPPort=55415
    Name=urbackup
    PublicAccess=private
    TCPPorts=55413,55414
    access=
    status=enabled

You may try remove and install again as a last instance:

yum -y autoremove nethserver-urbackup
yum -y install nethserver-urbackup
[root@neth1 ~]# journalctl -u urbackup-server

Do I lost my backups with this, I think not ?

I hope not your backups in the samba ibay but your urbackup config. And it won’t help if some other software causes the problem.

OK, anyway thank you for your help.

I am thinking abt to install urbackup on my FOG Server because the backups are growing and growing… On the FOG Server I backup just the config.
