Ok I cannot reproduce…no joy @Michael_Dahlgren_Nie but in you log I found this

 Oct 30 19:50:37 test systemd: Started BackupPC server.
Oct 30 19:50:37 test systemd: Starting Availability of block devices...
Oct 30 19:50:37 test systemd: Failed at step RUNTIME_DIRECTORY spawning /usr/share/BackupPC/bin/BackupPC: File exists
Oct 30 19:50:37 test systemd: Started Reconfigure newtork interfaces.
Oct 30 19:50:37 test systemd: Started Permit User Sessions.
Oct 30 19:50:37 test systemd: backuppc.service: main process exited, code=exited, status=233/RUNTIME_DIRECTORY
Oct 30 19:50:37 test systemd: Unit backuppc.service entered failed state.
Oct 30 19:50:37 test systemd: backuppc.service failed.

I bound to a remote Samba AD (nethserver 7.7) without problem

EDIT… I can reproduce…JOY

it seems that systemd cannot start the service because the runtime directory still exist, fun.

I test to trick the systemd service

[Service]
RuntimeDirectory=BackupPC
RuntimeDirectoryMode=0755
KillSignal=SIGTERM
Restart=always
RestartSec=1

It is position by which you can reproduce errors :slight_smile:
Should I test something for you?
