Updates - safe to do `yum update`?

NethServer Version: 7.4
Module: Software Center

Just got an update notification, ssh’d into my server, and did yum update to install the updates. Afterward, I’m wondering: are there any events that need to be kicked off after installing updates in this way? Put differently, is it safe to routinely install updates using yum update, or should I generally be installing them through the GUI?

It should be safe to do yum update as the events should be fired by a yum plugin:

Cool, thanks. I’d kind of thought as much, but I’m kind of stuck in the SME mindset still.

I always use yum
