Need to check the updates to the Shalla List web filters in Squidguard.
It is my understanding that the filters are updated nightly - is there a log I can check status ?

You may check /var/log/cron to know when the update took place:
Mar 3 12:18:33 server run-parts(/etc/cron.daily)[3020]: starting update-squidguard-blacklists
Mar 3 12:18:45 server run-parts(/etc/cron.daily)[5204]: finished update-squidguard-blacklists
