Unable to send mail through shared mailboxes

NethServer Version: 8
Module: mail (webtop)

Hi to everyone and thanks in advance to anyone will can help me. So, considering this scenario: on my Nethserver8 mailserver i have a few mail account and all of them are existent even on external domain. Only one account is local, and we use it with webtop mail for viewing two other shared accounts (two of the group existent on external domain). Through webtop webmail, using local account, i do not have any problem to see entire folder structure of both shared accounts. The problem occurs when i try to send a mail using an identity of one of two shared accounts (message error is: “553 5.7.1 : Sender address rejected: not owned by user …” ). This is the setup implemented: on the shared account, “manage sharing” > “sharing permission” (all account) i choose user, flag on “share identity” and “force signature”. On the delegated account, on “settings” menu’ > “mail” > “identities”, and i find correctly two identities below “automatic identities from sharing”.

You could use a public or group mailbox and add the users that should be allowed to send.

Or you could disable the sender restriction.

Well Markus, i choose to disable “sender restriction” and now it works. A few months ago i wrote a help request on that topic and i used this functionality as workaround to fix that issue. Now i’m glad to discover that with new version of Mail 1.7 this is no more required and so i can disable it. Thanks again pal, well done.
