Unable to access ftp directories from win clients

,

NethServer Version: 7 final
Module: ftp

I have a scanner that scans to pdf and sends to an ftp share. The printer successfully sends a scan to the nethserver ftp and writes the file to the directory using the user and password created in the nethserver gui.

I haven’t been able to figure out how to get to that file using various win clients.

So, I can browse with Filezilla but all of the built in windows tools fail.

Perhaps an issue of forcing windows to passive but I haven’t been able to get that to work.

Does the download work with a linux client?
If yes, the problem is in the windows machines, otherwise check the permissions of files.

if you are trying to access your ftp server using Ie or explorer try using the following format

ftp://username@ftp.yourdomain.xxx

it should work … but don’t ask me why
