Try out NethServer 7 alpha2 ISO!

It seems an Hyper-V problem, sorry but I can’t help: I carefully stay away from MS products

Did you tried to create a virtual machine on virtual box on vmware player,
and then move it to the hyperv?

Did you tried adding the disk as ide instead of scsi?

@mabeleira, your suggestions are in my to do list! Thanks

It looks like a Hyper-V issue or misconfiguration. An expert like @Hunv may help here

Simple Answer:
Generation 2 is not Supported for CentOS 6.x, Nethserver 6.x is based on.
https://technet.microsoft.com/library/dn770158(ws.11).aspx#BKMK_OS

Generation 2 machines have a much thinner Hardwarelayer. Because of this, they removed the support of many legacy devices. You can read more details here:
https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn282285.aspx
Or more technical:

Is Nethserver 7.x based on CentOS7? If yes, regarding the MS-Docs it should work, if UEFI is activated and SecureBoot disabled.

G’day first post, so anything is good.
I guess I’m your beta Nethserver tester too than;)
running:
OS: CentOS Linux release 7.2.1511 (Core)
CPE OS Name: cpe:/o:centos:centos:7
Kernel: Linux 3.10.0-327.10.1.el7.x86_64
Architecture: x86-64

will be testing: nethserver-7.2.1511-alpha2-x86_64 too(next few Days)
kind foreseeing same result as tonight’s runs;

nethserver-release-6.6-2.ns6
nethserver-release-6.7-0.3.ns6

with this ‘conflict with file from package filesystem-3.2-20.el7.x86_64’

Just letting you know,I’m on-board,
could be the most positive comment I’ll make here

I break things :stuck_out_tongue: ,
regards,
servevirtland

Yes, you are! And I’m very happy of that!
Welcome on board Jimmy from Australia
How is it going?

Hello,

A few issues about phpMyAdmin and PHP.

Phpmyadmin, installed via Nethforge, does not work. I can’t acess via webserver (https://yourdomain/phpmyadmin).

I can’t see the current settings of phpMyAdmin, with command config show phpmyadmin.
Signal-event command to save phpMyAdmin settings (signal-event nethserver-phpmyadmin-save) not work.
Signal-event command to save PHP settings (signal-event nethserver-php-save) also not work.

It’s possible update of the PHP version? 5.6 or 5.7 will be great.

Thanks

The template of httpd configuration has changed a lot since CentOS ships Apache 2.4.

You can always use SCL, but the default release is 5.4.

Where is the location of the template and documentation of how work?

I tryed update php to version 5.6, but have a conflict of the php56w-common with php-common-5.4.16

Thanks @giacomo,

Here is the general information: Templates — NethServer 7 documentation
There is no specific info on httpd package, you can refer to the code:

Hello,

I believe that the issue is because the phpmyadmin is not installed.

If I try install from terminal (yum install nethserver-phpmyadmin) , this message is showed: “No package nethserver-phpmyadmin available”

This is because the forge is not released at all for NS 7

phpMyAdmin is not released yet for NS7 Alpha 2?

Is there any way to test it?

Packages from NethForge should all be rebuilt.
At the moment, there is no way to test it unless you can rebuild the packages on your machines.

The NethForge will be rebuilt when the beta is out

Thanks @giacomo

I will waiting beta version.

Hi,

I’m doing a testing with Authenticated Web Proxy and does work, but if I enable filter in “Web Content Filter” and my proxy server is set in client browser (Chrome, Firefox, etc.), internet goes down (ERR_PROXY_CONNECTION_FAILED).

Can you please check if squidGuard is running?
Is there anything on the various logs (/var/log/messages, /var/log/squid/cache.log) ?

Yes…squidGuard is running, but if enable filter, it stopped.
