Today I made a data backup of Nethserver after two weeks when I run the backup then the server-generated too many zip files. Is this a normal behaviour or there is some problem with the backup?

Hi Adman, i hope that what i am gonna to write helps you a bit.
First of all, they are not zip-files but gzip files.

Similar names, totally different history (Phil Katz wrote the first zip-file compressor, PKZip, for MsDos, gzip well… read the first link 
)
And duplicity (which Data Backup rely on, for at least one engine) has a own way to store data; maybe the documentation of Duplicity will help you to understand a bit better how it works and if that large number of file is… too much or just enough
