Coming after a recognizable and somewhat genius CEO could be a tough job.
Tim had the privilege do be chosen from “I’m the biggest pr|ck in tech” Steve Jobs, as a man to lead a ramping company on consumer products and services.
And Tim cooked a really long dish, rich and fruitful. Kudos for the economical result, on the tech one deep shadows and stunning lights.
Currently Apple is delivering the most advanced consumer desktop and laptop computers, it’s “the tablet company”, because currently no tablet computer can compare to iPads and makes a bajillion of dollars in developer fees, media subscriptions, storage subscription.
But also, monopolysm (the Epic drama etched only few dents on the ecosystem), anti-consumer product design (repairability and upgradabilty are quite the opposite of what Apple wants for any of their devices… Theirs: you pay, they own), anti-competitive practices (you can’t backup an iThing if you’re not backing up on iFraud… 5gb free in 2026. Really?)
