Strategy to increase the storage

NethServer Version: 6.9 Final
Kernel: 2.6.32-696.10.3.el6.x86_64
Hi experts,
Am running the above mentioned server and storage is running out. It reaches to 80%. It is a Virtual machine on VMWare.
How could increase the storage for the server. I have enough storage to add to the VM.
Your speedy help is highly appreciated.

It kinda depends on your setup.

Step 1 is increasing the diskfile. Provided you use one.

Step 2 is making Nethserver recognise this change. How depends on if you use LVM or not.

Could you please provide more details, and start by making a backup?

Hi All,
I successfully increased the storage of my server (in production!). The following are the steps I did…

1. Added extra storage in VM
   2.VM detected the storage after reboot.
   3.Unmounted the virtual disk after creating LVM partition
   4.Made LVM to see the virtual disk.
   5.Once the 2nd disk recognized by LVM added the storage.
   That’s it.
   After adding just did a reboot.
   Thanks for the support and advises.
