When trying to get a certificate for a reverse proxy domain (forms.mydomain.comhttp://localhost:8080) Let’s Encrypt fails the challenge.

Probably it can not write the well-known to /opt/tomcat8

Any idea’s please?

TIA

I tried to reproduce but it just works here. Did you open/forward port 80?

Maybe you need to force HTTPS redirect in the reverse proxy settings?

With reverse proxy httpd is used for providing the cert.

I did not open anything special, I even removed the firewall. I have a few domains that will get a cert but for example mail.mydomanin (sogo) and forms.mydomain (orbeon) the certs fail

Are the failing subdomains pointing to your Neth public IP?

EDIT:

Yes, it seems so. All subdomains point to the right IP.

Yeah, I need to sit down and look at it.

I HAve began isntallation and testing for this tool. ill present my fidning.

Also, on the same note .I came accross this tool, metabase, , which seems nice for analyzing data that has been collected, as well as data from other systems that you might have need to present and view them visually.

It can be installed as a jar file, or on Docker. if its interesting enough, maybe we can opena new Feature and create a howto to deploy the same on NEthserver

in the wiki, the last point is
Then go to: http://yourip:8080/oberon

is that url correct. is it orbeon or oberon

Also, is the only way to access it from localhost?
can i access it from the fqdn since the tutorials mentions ip.

Yes you can, please see the instructions on proxy from Markus above

Fixed: orbeon
