Sssd wont work after rhel upgrade to 7.9

I have one RHEL server and upgraded it from 7.7 to 7.9 after which sssd service went to failed state.

Good Morning

And welcome to the NethServer Forum!

Is your question about RHEL or NethServer?

Note: NethServer implements AD very differently from a standard RHEL7 / Centos7 - are you sure you’re asking about NethServer here?

The error message above includes paths and stuff NOT available on a normal NethServer - the path "/usr/lib/systemd/"does not exist on NethServer…

Maybe you’re in the wrong Forum / Community?
RHEL IS supported by the company RedHat (Now part of IBM)…

My 2 cents

Oh, i just saw its not NethServer support… well, what i wrote down here worked just fine in NethServer lol!

Hello, i had some issues with sssd after a fresh install/update too.

What i did was:

systemctl stop sssd
yum reinstall sssd-common
systemctl start sssd
yum -y reinstall samba samba-dc krb5-server krb5-libs
rm /etc/krb5/keytab
rm -rf /var/lib/machines/
signal-event nethserver-sssd-remove-provider
expand-template /etc/samba/smb.conf
expand-template /etc/sssd/sssd.conf
expand-template /etc/krb5.conf

After this i restarted AD install in GUI

I hope this helps, have a good one! (not… )
