I jumped on my Nethserver to check on new updates. To finalize any if needed. Unfortunately it looks like something is not allowing Software Center to finalize reporting its status.
Not sure if I am seeing a bug…
After logging into NS8 Dashboard, everything loads up like normal in Dashboard, except the Software Center. It continuously shows the lines going from light grey to dark grey. Same thing when I click on go to Software Center. Then it shows ALL / Installed / Updates and the lines underneath it continuously shows the lines going from light grey to dark grey.
-I have rebooted NS8.
-I have tried to clear cache and cookies in browser.
Any ideas on how to get Software Center to finalize loading?
Is there anyway to do updates for software center via CLI?
Could this be related to a limited number of local USA mirrors? Or does Software Center don’t care about geographic locations and always uses the same source?
Edit: It seems al the mirrors are up to par with NS7 only. No mirrors for NS8?
In NS7 we used yum and mirrors for the module installations.
In NS8 we install app images and the ones from Docker hub are mirrored on Github ghcr.io that should have good availability.
Update. I decided to disable the extra repos like you said. I didn’t see a change immediately. In fact I turned them back on after not seeing any change quickly. I started working on other things. I just tried it again after an hour and a half and it looks like it refreshing now. I can now see apps ans such. It has refreshed / loaded. Odd. I honestly don’t know if disabling the extra repos helped or not. But it is the only thing I did. Maybe there was a short internet route outage or something?
In any case. Thanks @mrmarkuz and @LayLow for both your input. Thankful for all your help and feedback!
