Smb and nmb services low warning message

Hi everyone, among the hosts on the network and accredited to the nethserver AD domain, on a centos7 performing the status of the samba services I receive this error:
…/source3/nmbd/nmbd_namequery.c:109(query_name_response)
Apr 16 22:16:19 centos7.internal2.lan nmbd [927]: query_name_response: Multiple (2) responses received for a query on subnet 192.168 … L2 <1d>.
Apr 16 22:16:19 centos7.internal2.lan nmbd [927]: This response was from IP 192.168.3.83, reporting an IP address of 192.168.3.83

192.168.3.83 is the AD neth7 server.
The centos7 pc is working in the context of the domain, I was only asking if someone had the same problem.

Hi

Could it be that IPv6 is active on that Centos7 box?
AFAIK NethServer doesn’t yet support IPv6…

My 2 cents

Hi Andy, I had disabled through ipv6 grub :sunglasses:

@france

OK, that’s not the problem then…

:frowning:

However everything works, on centos7, ubuntu mint and antix linux. I just wanted to go deeper into the subject.

I don’t think this is actually a problem - seems more like a report…

Yes indeed, I really believe so. It would protect us to define a non-blocking warning message. I change the title of the post …

Did you clone a machine and have a duplicate name or MAC?

ciao, no ho controllato i mac e sono diversi. Una cosa che sono macchine virutali su scheda VIRTIO.

Do you have more samba servers running?

Is one of the machines with more interfaces in the same network?

Lo scenario è: ù
Dominio AD Nethserver
3 Pc linux con samba cliente e server samba.
Il file smb.conf cnfigurato per AD.

[globale]
workgroup = INTERNAL2
firma del cliente = sì
uso client spnego = yes
kerberos method = segreti e keytab
file di registro = /var/log/samba/%m.log
#password server = AD.INTERNAL2.LAN
realm = AD.INTERNAL2.LAN
sicurezza = annunci
proxy dns = No
idmap config *: range = 3000-7999
[le case]
comment = Home directory
sfogliabile = No
scrivibile = Sì

I have tried with some directives and the warning level seems reduced.

bind interfaces only = yes
interfaces = lo eth0
