Dear Community,
I am having trouble connecting to NethServer via VPN.
The client’s main LAN is 192.168.2.1/24.
The IP pool used by the VPN is 192.168.3.1/24.
I can access NethServer via the web interface (see photo) but not via SMB; why is that?
I believe my issue is similar to the one in this discussion: SMB access denied with VPNs
Is the VPN created by Nethserver?
In any case, check to make sure the VPN’s IP pool is listed in the “Local Networks” menu in Nethserver; if not, add it.
Good morning Alessio,
I’m replying in Italian for convenience.
I set up the VPN with OpenVPN, by installing an Omada ER605 gateway at the customer’s site and configuring a 1:1 NAT from the Fastweb router.
The NethServer is managed by the customer (I don’t even know the login password), so I have to act as an intermediary to help them understand things.
Should I look in the network card settings, in Trusted Networks under the Security section, or inside the VPN menu?
I look forward to your reply.
Regards,
Maurizio
Buongiorno Alessio,
