Set authentication credentials for LDAP applications after upgrade to 7.5

After Upgrading to 7.5 I got an error at the Dashboard saying:

Set authentication credentials for LDAP applications
Some applications require simple LDAP authentication credentials to browse the AD LDAP database and work properly.
I can see all my users and groups and all seems to work, but I cannot change anything without getting an error:

Task completed with errors

(exit status )

After doing a

account-provider-test dump

I see a “BindDN” : “DOMAINNAME\MAIL$” which is strange,
I expected “BindDN” : "ldapservice@AD.DOMAINNAME.COM"

So how can I fix it?

There are 19 users with emails and fileshares.

From which version did you upgrade? Please attach the output of

  yum history pkg-info nethserver-dc

Attach also the output of

 grep -B 5 -E '(ERROR|FAILED)' /var/log/messages
 config show sssd
 config show nsdc

It looks like your last yum update (cron) died unexpectedly and the samba nsdc version was not upgraded.

First of all, check if your RPM db is consistent. For instance

 rpm -Va

Then see if yum recorded something else
