Hi guys, I’m having a problem with nethserver and Samba access. I have a user created and am using the following info.
domain: spl.lan
user: davef (is an admin)
samba (set to domain domain users as owners)
I have tried the following logins
spl\davef
spl.lan\davef
davef@spl.lan
and nothing seems to work. I’m sure I’m just missing something simple but I don’t know what. any help would be awesome
thanks,
-Dave

Hi Dave
I think you need to use your NethServer as DNS Server (from your client) to make it work.
This can be distributed by DHCP, but still, DNS must be your NethServer…
My 2 cents

I’ve done that and it’s still not working - but thanks for your help.
