SAMBA file permissions

Hello Guys,

I’m currently in the process of switching from NS7 to NS8.

Since I can’t use the migration tool, I created the Samba shares and then copied the data using rsync.
Everything worked so far.

I then adjusted the users/groups accordingly (Chown).

With access from Windows 11 - I can’t open LibreOffice documents directly in the network drive.
Because Libre doesn’t seem to have the right permissions.

What permissions should I set then?

ls -l
drwxrwxr-x 41 samba1 362243 4096 Aug 14 18:04 Ablage

I’ve already had the permissions rewritten in Samaba, no change.

Best regards

Gerald

Did you set the permissions via the “Shared folders” on this share afterwards using the three-dot symbol.

Cheers
