Samba Dump uses a lot of space

NethServer Version: 7.7.1908
Dear community,
Looking at our Disk usage shows that in directory /var/log/samba/cores/smbd we need 141GB of space- that’s quite much. Could you please give advice, what that is and if it is possible to clear that space safely?
Only thing I found was https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1322672
Thank you!

Core dumps can be generally erased safely. However they are useful to understand why smbd crashes.

Look at the files creation timestamps. Are the crashes still happening?

I´ll look- thank you for response!
and no the youngest are from Mar2019;

what method to use (rm -f .) ?
