Samba 4 on NethServer

The only one that jump out at me was a way of deploying Windows based group policies.Being able to deploy group policy would take away the majority of the burden surrounding supporting Windows clients.

I’d like to dig deeper, so Group policy are the real problem, right? But Group policy are really useful only with > 50 users.

DC compatible with Active Directory/GPO (Windows Server replacement)

Since a lot of us has been coming from Zentyal, why not a DC compatible with Active Directory/GPO (Windows Server replacement ) which can handle Linux clients as well (maybe Desktop wallpapers, shortcut items, etc). Did I say I came from Windows (it should be somewhere in my intro)?

Why not Samba4/AD on NethServer?

I am also looking for a replacement of my Zentyal deployment and unfortunately the ability to work with AD/GPO is something missing in NethServer, as a lot of people have windows computers in their networks. To upgrade to Samba4 would be great. Apart from that, it looks very promising and it’s a great product. Keep up the good work!
