Retain mail messages for a period when the destination server is unavailable

Hi all,

I’m using Nethserver as a relay to another mailserver.
Before I was using Mailscanner.
In case of the mail server that would receive the messages becomes unavailable, I was able to retain the messages for a period before the sender received a error message.
Is there a way for me to have the same funcionatlity?

Hi @jfranco

SMTP Mail will keep the mail for 5 days, as specified by the RFCs… This is automatically built in.

The main mail server must fave a MX Priority of 10 and the Relay Mail Server a Priority of 20.

That’s all you need!
