Restic Backup Error

NethServer Version: 7.9.2009
Module: Restic Backup

My Restic backup for Nethserver 7.9.2009 was running without any problem to NAS Synology daily using NFS. I only changed the scheduled time, and from that moments the backup is failing. Need to change vdisk size, since my NS7 VM is on Proxmox, thus what to take the latest backup before that. But for couple of days, the nethserver backup is failing. Attached Pic for reference

Maybe at that time your Synology device do not accept NFS connection from NethServer/user/IP?
Maybe at that time your Synology device is too loaded or the network connection is saturated?
Messages reports abouti issues to read and write to NFS… And NS 7.9 validates/tests the access to the folder at time of creation of the backup set.

I manually run the backup with NAS login in another tab, but it fails.

Only option seems to delete all previous backups, which I don’t want and create another backup schedule, but is there any way to recover the old backup.

I don’t know. I never relied on NethServers own Backup, even though I have it set. I rely on PBS for (tested) disaster recovery…

Also, I never use encrypted backups. It’s too risky in my opinion, especially when disaster hits!

I am not familiar with NS7, i moved in here around the same time as NS8 ;).
Anyhow, restic is restic and if you have the repository files and the the encryption password you must be able to restore any of the content. On NS8 the password can be found in the cluster-admin, not sure about NS7, but i guess it will also be in the UI somewhere.
Maybe have a look over here as well. Restore a single file

The log screenshot only shows a problem mounting the NFS share.
Has the backup mount folder has some remnant files of an unclean unmount?
Although while configuring the backup task it checks for access to the NFS share, can you manually check from command line if the server is able to access it or what error it reports?

Does the synology logs show anything of significance after trying the connection?

In the NS7 Gui, while setting/Editing the backup when I check the connection, it passes.
