Question of domain name

Module: OpenLDAP and Mail

I was going to install OpenLDAP on my new NS8 server but I have a question about the Domain.
In my new network all computers have a local domain “mydomain.lan” (is not my real domain name)

In my old network I did not use FQDN at all, just that my mail server did have mydomain.nu

So now when is time to pick the Domain for OpenLDAP, can I use my local domain?
This server is going to be my new mail server so not sure when I need to use my nu domain when I run this guides.

Not sure yet if I going to run NS8 migration or make a new mail server from the scratch but first I have to install OpenLDAP

I have read it but I do like I always do. Try and error and I think I maybe got it to work :slight_smile:
