How can I do so that the Opera autoupdate can go through the proxy and not ask for user authentication and password?
Thank you!

My suggestion is the same provided here: put the domain of the update outside of the proxy.

“Sitos fuera del proxy”
I have no idea what url used to update, plus the problem is that popup comes out because it doesn’t catch authentication
You can look into squid logs for ip addreses and hosts which are searched by an host who’s update Opera. And also you can look for info into Opera documentation, FAQ or similar.
In a word: apply a little of debug, if the documentation or FAQ of opera are lacking.
