Proxy cache on Cockpit

I cannot find proxy cache settings on Cockpit. It’s normal?

Yes it is: it’s a design choice because the cache is a deprecated feature.
Nowadays proxy caching is almost useless

May I disagree?

  • OS and application updates
  • Antivirus definitions
  • CDN contents
  • Application servers used by more than a user

Caching is not that useful with improving performances with generic web surfing, but may save a ton of bandwidth for repeated (multi user) content…

A cache is no longer effective because most of the traffic is encrypted (https) and cannot be cached.

The cache settings is still honored and can be configured using the old server manager or the command line.
