Proxmox Backup Client

Proxmox Server Solutions GmbH announced an open-source enterprise backup solution.

ATM it is in an early stage (beta) and works with debian but they announced the ability to backup also other linux machines…

I would like to inform you and ask if we should implement the Proxmox Backup Client on Nethserver to be able to backup Nethserver VMs and Physical Servers?

Looks good - and Proxmox backups generally work very well for all OS… (At least on Proxmox).
Maybe take a good look and wait till RC stage is released.
Til then, there may still be a few code/trigger changes.

But a god idea!

Yes, this looks definitely very interesting. I would love to see this implemented. I am on vacation for two weeks now, but I will look at this asap.

Wouldn’t that create more problems than solve, when worst comes to worst and I need to restore after a disaster?

I dont know, ATM Its to early. Lets see what it can do for us…

i have been testing this and it works on the backup page, the next thing to test is to restore

the backup page of proxmox I presume ?

Would be nice to have the proxmox-backup-client as a backupoption to the Nethserver-Admin-GUI?
