Ho aggiornato il mio firewall, su cui non facevo aggiornamenti di versione da un bel po, ma l’ho fatto oggi perché ho acquistato il rinnovo della mia licenza ma siccome mi continuava ad indicarmi che la licenza scadeva a breve, ho pensato che potesse essere quello il problema legato al non passaggio dell’aggiornamento
comunque ho fatto l’aggiornamento al 8.7.1, ed il firewall, alla conclusione dell’installazione, riavviandosi, non conclude il suo boot.
una scheda di rete non viene attivata (il led di link rimane spento) e guarda caso è proprio quella della parte LAN
per curiosità ho provato a fare una installazione da ZERO, ma rimane in attesa anche in questo caso di “non sò cosa” e non arriva a conclusione per permettermi di fare l’installazione
ho perfino provato con un pc diverso, su cui un vecchio fornitore mi aveva venduto la versione 7.9 Business, ma non riesco ad installare la versione 8.7.1, neanche su quel PC
ora sono in difficoltà, ho dovuto bypassare il fw e collegare la lan interna sul router
posso scaricare una versione precedente alla 8.7.1? mi date un link per il suo download?
oppure sapete come risolvere questo strano blocco del Nethsecurity?
If I’m not mistaken, there are reports that the update to 8.7.1 encounters an anomaly in the case of boxes/PCs with mixed Realtek and Intel network cards (as I understand is your case in the screenshot you posted).
Specifically, the network cards are remapped differently than in previous versions, so you may find that the configurations have been moved to other network cards.
Try moving the LAN cable to the other ports and see if you can access it.
I have also personally encountered an anomaly several times when attempting to reinstall Nethsecurity 8 from a USB stick on a box/PC where the product is already installed.
Even if you boot from a USB stick, the configuration on the hard disk is still launched, so you cannot reinstall.
I usually solve this by starting from a USB stick with a Rocky Linux ISO and reformatting the hard disk.
