Problem with access shared folders

NethServer Version: 7.9.2009
Module: AD

Hello everyone,
I am facing an issue where all users, including admins, can no longer access the network folders. The access suddenly stopped working.
When I try to access the shared folder, the following error appears:

I checked some logs but didn’t find anything that could be causing the error.
Is there any way to resolve this issue?

config show smb
smb=service
    AuditAlias=fed66e87e5fb6adb3d9902ee409de962adba0549
    AuditLogRead=enabled
    DeadTime=10080
    HomeAdmStatus=enabled
    InheritOwner=yes
    NetbiosAliasList=
    ShareAdmStatus=enabled
    TCPPorts=139,445
    UseClientDriver=yes
    UseCups=enabled
    WinsServerIP=
    access=green
    status=enabled

Did you try to restart the services?

Yes, I even restarted the server.

Are all needed services started? You can check on services page in server manager.

All services related to Samba are working.

Are other services than samba still reachable?
Are the shares in /var/lib/nethserver/ibay available and permissions correct?
Sorry, I’m not in front of a pc right now…

Please also check smb, nmb, nscd service status.

No

On Windows, I can’t access it, but on Linux, I was able to verify that the permissions are correct.

are ok too

The strangest thing is that the email accounts are synced with the NethServer AD, and authentication works without any issues.

Could it be fail2ban, threat shield or suricata IPS that blocks smb?

I don’t use these services on NethServer, but I disabled them on the server where they are configured, yet it still doesn’t work.

To ensure that nothing in my network is blocking the NethServer, I tested connecting the NethServer directly to a notebook, and it still couldn’t access the network folders.

Does it help to reconfigure samba?

signal-event nethserver-samba-update

I had already done that procedure as well, but it didn’t work.

Magically, access returned to normal. I was already installing the new version (something I should have done a long time ago) when it started working again.

Thank you for your help.
