Problem in receiving mail

i’m trying to setup a mailserver in NS 7.2 A

but when i try to send a mail to the server (from another server ) this error appear:

xxx@xxx.xxxxxx.xxx: host xxx.xxxxxx.xxx[xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx] said: 554 5.7.1
xxx@xxx.xxxxxx.xxx: Recipient address rejected: Access denied (in reply to RCPT TO command)

i have added the domain in Email->Domains and selected Deliver locally, and in email adresses added the new email.

If i send a mail from that account (Roundcube) the email is delivered without problem. only a receving issue.

i made some Config Error?

Thanks for the report. I’ll try to reproduce the problem.

Please, provide also the specific packages version. Go to Software Center > Installed > Packages and seek nethserver-mail-* packages.

if i click on Software Center > Installed >

Click on Packages button >

Another problem is that the hostname/domain set during the first login is reset on reboot. I have to manualy edit the /etc/hostname file.

Do not set up local delivery
As for monitoring you need to set up samba, http, mysql , because there are a lot of depencies. Feel free to ask any question.

Moreover, I’m working on the samba and mail server packages for 7 and the mail configuration will be changed deeply, so I think tests are not required now.

I’m changing the nethserver 7 needs testing wiki page.

No time for this today. I’ll see it next days.

Hi @filippo_carletti, yesterday I fixed all system misconfigure.

The main point was OVH DNS configuration.We have added MX record to the subdomain.
Next point was changed Hostname, thus, SambaSID changed but not for every CN (I have changed through LDAP)
Another point VPN, by default OpenVPN service in DB was enabled, thus system init neither systemd have no any targets. (it was fixed and committed to GIT)

it isn’t a production environment i plan to switch my vps and dedicated server with mailserver and owncloud into one unique VPS (with Nethserver). For personal purposes.
I wanted to try NS7 but I think I will return to NS6

even if just for you, as long as you store on that machine valuable data (photos, email, files etc) it is a “production” server… so my sentence is still valid
alpha releases are there just to test and broke them

When NAS will have checked the problems i will return to NS6
