Port Forwarding Issues

NethServer Version: NethServer release 7.6.1810 (final)

Hi all,

I am new to Linux/Nethserver and need some assistance/guidance.

I use Nethserver as my firewall/gateway and have a server LAN side running ProxMox and a few VM’s. I am trying to open up ports 28015:28016 and have them directed to one of the VM’s (a game server). I have tried multiple times to get the ports open and don’t understand where I am going wrong.

As I said earlier I am not too knowledgable when it comes to Linux so a dummies guide would be really appreciated.

Thank you all in advance.

Hi Stuart,

welcome to Nethserver Community.

To use a source port range you have to leave the destination port empty:

Hi Markus,

Thank you for the quick reply. Am I correct in thinking that I need to setup a host/ip under the Firwall objects and Firewall rules subsections?

Kind Regards

IMO is correct.

It seems to be working now I have cleared the Destination Ports.

Thank you all
